Abayomi Idowu is a community leader, administrator, entrepreneur, and advocate for responsible governance. Through years of public service, community engagement, and leadership, he has witnessed firsthand the challenges facing ordinary Nigerians and the immense potential of Lagos and its people. His mission is to provide effective representation that bridges the gap between government and citizens while championing policies that improve lives and create opportunities. My Vision To build a Lagos Central where every citizen has access to opportunity, security, quality public services, and a government that works for the people. My Mission To provide transparent, accountable, and people-centered representation while advancing policies that promote economic growth, social justice, and sustainable development.

Early Life
Born on the 4th of September 1956 in Lagos, my journey began with strong values, discipline and hard work.
CMS Grammar School
The foundation of the man I am today was laid within the four walls of CMS Grammar School. It was there I learned courage, resilience, discipline, and independence, values that have shaped my character, guided my leadership, and continue to inspire my commitment to public service.
B.Sc. Chemical Engineering, University of Glamorgan, UK
Earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Glamorgan, United Kingdom, in 1981, laying the foundation for a distinguished career in engineering, business, and leadership.
M.Sc. Fuel Technology, University of Portsmouth, UK
Completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Fuel Technology at the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom, in 1982, further strengthening my expertise in energy systems, industrial processes, and engineering management.
Diploma in Dredging Engineering, Center for Dredging Studies Texas A&M University, Texas, USA
Completed a Diploma in Dredging Engineering at the Center for Dredging Studies, Texas A&M University, Texas, in 2008, expanding my expertise in dredging operations, coastal engineering, waterway management, and marine infrastructure.
Chairman, Dredging Association of Nigeria (Lagos Chapter)
Led initiatives to strengthen collaboration among industry stakeholders, advocate for sound regulatory policies, and advance sustainable dredging practices that support Nigeria's maritime and infrastructure development.
Chairman, Lekki Residents Association
Provided strategic leadership to one of Nigeria's most prominent residential communities, championing initiatives in security, infrastructure, environmental sustainability, community engagement, and resident welfare.
Chairman, Lekki Residents and Stakeholders Association ZONE A
I Provide leadership for Zone A, representing all estates from 1004 Estate to Ajah. I work closely with residents, estate associations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to enhance security, infrastructure, environmental sustainability, traffic management, and community development across the corridor.
ADC Candidacy
Accepted the ADC nomination for Lagos Central Senatorial District, committing to carry the People First mandate to the Senate.
